Women’s Wellness & Fertility Center of New England to offer natural, holistic approach to women’s care

March 8, 2017—Catholic Medical Center cut the ribbon Wednesday evening on its newest practice—the Women’s Wellness & Fertility Center of New England. The Center, offering family-centered, holistic OB/GYN and fertility care, is the only one in the region where the entire staff is dedicated to NaProTECHNOLOGY. NaProTECHNOLOGY is sought by women who want healthcare practiced in line with their faith and by those who are looking for a natural approach to their OB/GYN wellness.

“This day is many years in the making,” said CMC President & CEO Joseph Pepe, MD. “Until now, women looking for this kind of a practice have had to travel out of state. I am confident this will be a destination for those who want a different approach to their care.”

NaProTECHNOLOGY engages a woman in her care at any stage of her life. Our providers work to develop individualized, natural treatments to address the underlying causes of symptoms and restore a woman’s reproductive health. NaProTECHNOLOGY also pairs with the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System, which effectively manages fertility without the use of artificial hormones, contraceptive devices, or assisted reproductive technologies like in-vitro fertilization (IVF).

“Science shows us that there are effective ways to help couples struggling with infertility that do not compromise their beliefs,” said the Most Reverend Peter A. Libasci, Bishop of Manchester. “I’m overjoyed and grateful to Dr. Pepe and all who continue to offer the very best of the dedicated witness of CMC that women who’ve been praying for this kind of care now have this option close to home.”

Prior to its opening, the practice had already received pre-booking phone calls from more than 120 patients from across New England.

The Women’s Wellness & Fertility Center of New England is led by Sarah Bascle, MD, a Natural Family Planning Consultant trained in NaProTECHNOLOGY. “The women who come here all have different needs for their stage of life, but they’re all looking for the same thing – a new and alternative approach to their OB/GYN health. I’m excited to get to know these women and to be able to offer them this care.”
