What do Pregnancy Centers offer women?

Pregnancy centers meet the physical and emotional needs of women facing unplanned pregnancies. Care Net, for example, helps birth moms each year through their parenting program, Earn While You Learn. They gain much needed parenting education and they receive Mommy Bucks to shop in their well stocked “stores” for diapers, baby clothing, car seats, strollers, and other baby needs. Many also offer healing and restoration to those who have been hurt by abortion, emotionally and spiritually.

Below are some of the free and confidential services many centers offer…

Pregnancy Tests

Confidential Peer Counseling

Limited Ultrasound

Parent Mentoring Program

Adoption Referrals

STI/STD Testing

Post-Abortion Support

Abstinence Education

Community Referrals

Baby Clothes, Diapers, Baby Equipment

What are some ways to help support pregnancy centers?

Host a Baby Bottle Benefit

The Baby Bottle Benefit is a really simple way to raise funds to help pregnancy centers provide their vital services to clients facing unplanned pregnancies. Simply hand out empty baby bottles and have people fill it with spare change they receive throughout a week or month and give it to your local pregnancy center.

Host a baby shower

Donate new car seats, new cribs, pack and plays, blankets, strollers, diapers, and bottles. Anything you would normally see at a baby shower would be an immense blessing to babies and their families.

Host a diaper drive

Pregnancy centers are always in need of diapers and unscented wipes, especially for newborn children. Contact your local pregnancy center to see what sizes they need most.

Attend fundraising banquets

Many pregnancy centers have an annual fundraising banquet where staff, volunteers, and supporters gather to hear what great things have been accomplished throughout the year. You can host a table and bring friends to fill it, or become a banquet underwriter, helping to assure that all of the funds raised at the banquet go directly to serving their clients.

Attend annual fundraising walks

Find out if your local pregnancy center has an annual walk to raise funds to support those women who come to their center for information and support. If they don’t, perhaps you can help organize one!

Volunteer!

Contact your local pregnancy center to see what volunteer opportunities are available.

When we give our time, talents, and resources, change happens.
