In a recent Concord Monitor article, Rep. Warren Groen was attacked for his support of Life in our NH House of Representatives, specifically for co-sponsoring HB 677, a bill that would prohibit the use of public funds for abortion.”
Speaker William O’Brien offered this response to the Concord Monitor article, in defense of HB 677.
‘…human weeds,’ ‘reckless breeders,’ ‘spawning… human beings who never should have been born.” Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization http://www.gutenberg.org/files/1689/1689-h/1689-h.htm).
Likewise in the same book, she argued the need for population control by saying it would solve the “racial chaos into which the world has drifted.”
All who understand the elitist and racial prejudices of Planned Parenthood’s founder and the murderous chapter in American history she opened and that her legacy organization has continued since its founding 98 years ago, will applaud Rep. Groen’s efforts.
Indeed, all who understand the following facts will join his efforts:
– More African-Americans have died from abortion than from AIDS, accidents, violent crimes, cancer, and heart disease combined.
– In America today, a black child is three times more likely to be killed in the womb than a white child.
– Since 1973, abortion has reduced the black population by over 25%.
– Planned Parenthood operates the nation’s largest chain of abortion clinics and almost 80% of its facilities are located in minority neighborhoods.
– 12.6% of American women are black, but 35.4% of the abortions are performed on them.
– Planned Parenthood is the leading provider of abortions in the United States and received $540.6 million in government funding in fiscal year 2013.
While they claim that Planned Parenthood does much more than abort children, it is in fact little: Planned Parenthood’s own 2013-2014 annual report states it made only 2,197 adoption referrals, while aborting 327,166 children, for an abortion to adoption ratio of over 99 to 1.
In fact, it is likely that the $786,000 that Planned Parenthood spent on lobbying and political activities in New Hampshire alone in 2013 exceeded the amount it spent nationally to promote adoptions.
So all of us who wish to close the sorry chapter of Planned Parenthood in America history must say, “Thank you Rep. Groen for your efforts.”
-Rep. William O’Brien (R-Mont Vernon, New Boston)
