(Manchester, NH June 27, 2025) MANCHESTER, NH — [On] Saturday, June 28, from 10:00am until noon (rain or shine), those seeking to end taxpayer subsidies for abortion will gather outside Planned Parenthood at 24 Pennacook Street in Manchester NH for a peaceful, prayerful rally calling on Congress to defund Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers.
For decades, Planned Parenthood has been the leading force behind the loss of millions of innocent lives. Last year, over 400,000 unborn children lost their lives due to them, and untold numbers of mothers are left to cope with the emotional, physical, and psychological consequences. Shockingly, taxpayers of all beliefs are forced to subsidize this destruction of life – to the tune of nearly $800 million annually.
Primarily abortion: Despite claiming to serve women’s health, 97% of Planned Parenthood’s “pregnancy services” are abortions. While the number of abortions have risen over the last decade, other services like cancer screenings, breast exams and Pap smears have decreased by over 50% according to the Lozier Institute [1].
“We’re standing together, shoulder to shoulder, to send a clear message: no more tax dollars for organizations that profit from ending innocent lives.” said Jason Hennessey, President of NH Right to Life.
He also said “This isn’t just a local rally—it’s part of over 100 nationwide, timed to highlight the injustice of Americans being forced to subsidize abortion — a practice many believe is systematic injustice toward children in the womb”.
National Coordination: This protest is part of a coordinated effort led by Pro-Life Action League and Live Action. Over 100 Planned Parenthood locations nationwide will host similar demonstrations this weekend, amplifying the call to end federal support for abortion providers as Congress considers legislation to end abortion subsidies. This weekend also coincides with National Celebrate Life Weekend in Washington, D.C.[2]
